Ayahuasca je sveta, iscjeljujuća i vizionarska loza koja raste u Amazoni i zajedno s Chacrunom se primjenjuje tisućama godina u mnogim plemenima koja obitavaju na području amazonskog bazena, a sada je pronašla svoj put do Hrvatske.
Ova moćna medicina, kako ju nazivaju ayahuascqueroi, iscjeljuje dušu i tijelo onih koji skupe dovoljno hrabrosti da zavire u svoju nutrinu. U središtu iskustva s Ayahuascom je spiritualnost, čišćenje tijela, otpuštanje i rješavanje nakupljenih negativiteta ili blokada, iscjeljivanje trauma te intenzivno duhovno i osobno iskustvo istine i onoga što u biti jesmo. Jednom riječju - potpuna transformacija.

Ovo su prve ceremonije Ayahuasce koje će se održati u Hrvatskoj, a koje vodi ayahuasquero Douglas Maricato De Souza iz Brazila i njegova učenica ayahuasquera Jenny Raulstone iz Velike Britanije.

Kako bi se pripremili za rad s Ayahuascom, sudionici ceremonija naučiti će i ostvariti kontakt sa svojim biljkama saveznicama kroz šamanska putovanja koja će nakon radionice moći i sami prakticirati u potrazi za odgovorima, iscjeljenjem ili daljnjim učenjem. Također, sudionici će naučiti kako pripremiti napitke za lucidno sanjanje, koje će konzumirati kako bi pojačali rad s Ayahuascom, te kako izraditi cvjetne kupke (tzv. limpia) kojima je svrha čišćenje tijela i duše te privlaćenje blagostanja u bilo kojem obliku. Poticat će se i kreativno izražavanje doživljaja, vizija i otkrića koje su sudionici iskusili za vrijeme ceremonija i to kroz glazbu, slikanje, poeziju i sl. Ayahuasqueroi će održati dvije ceremonije Ayahuasce s tri različite vrste Ayahuasce, za vrijeme kojih će se posvetiti i iscjeljivanju svakog pojedinog sudionika.

Radionica i ceremonije održavaju se u Durginom utočištu na Baniji, koje je odsanjano u stvarnost upravo zahvaljujući radu s majkom Ayahuascom, od 2. do 6. kolovoza 2010.

Ayahuasca is a sacred healing visionary vine from the upper Amazon which has been used for thousands of years by many indigenous tribes from South America, mainly Peru, Brazil and Columbia. Ayahuasca is a powerful medicine, with many gifts for those wishing to look within.

Spirituality is at the heart of the Ayahuasca experience, and purification/cleansing of the body, releasing of negative beliefs/blocks, healing of past traumas and a profound spiritual and personal discovery and transformation can take place. Ayahuasca enables us to open the doors of perception, and experience our own truths and understand who we really are. Every experience is unique, tailor made for the individual, and no 2 journeys are ever the same.


Introduction to group leaders:

Douglas Maricato De Souza is a Brazilian mixed with indigenous ancestry Ayahuascero and shamanic healer, who has been working primarily with the sacred visionary healing plant Ayahuasca for twenty years. He has also worked with many other sacred plant teachers.
Douglas was first introduced to Ayahuasca by an independent spiritual group, which used in ritual part elements of the Santo Daime, Pageism, Shamanism, Buddhism and the afro religions of South America. He later also took part in Santo Daime ceremonies.
After 8 years of learning and practicing with the independent spiritual group, he decided to travel to spread the knowledge, blessings and teachings of mother Ayahuasca that he received. To also be able to give access to those searching for deep healing on all levels: mind, body and soul.
He has been running Ayahuasca group rituals and retreats in Brazil and the UK for over 7 years now, facilitating and guiding, performing shamanic healing and channelling messages from the source (spirit) for spiritual counselling.
Douglas has an affinity to Ayahuasca, and dedicates his life work to facilitating ceremonies, and encouraging people to search for their shaman within.

Jenny Raulston is an Ayahuascera who was first introduced to Ayahuasca by her good friend (Douglas) over 7 years ago. Jenny’s journey has been an amazing one. Mother Ayahuasca literally saved her life from drug addiction and manic depression. She has received deep healing on all levels from this sacred plant teacher, and channelled sacred knowledge from mother Ayahuasca. So profound was her healing through the vine that she felt compelled to dedicate her life to learning and following the shamanic path, with Ayahuasca being at the centre of her life. She assists in running retreats in Brazil and the UK, and is currently working towards building an Ayahuasca healing retreat/community on the paradise island of Boibepa in Northern Brazil.
Jenny has done extensive training, working with the visionary vine.
Jenny is a Reiki master, healer, yoga teacher and shamanic practitioner.


Retreat Programme:

On this Ayahuasca retreat/ workshop we will develop our connection to nature and our plant spirit allies. Learn and develop fundamental shamanic practices within the context of plant spirit shamanism, to enhance our journey with mother Ayahuasca, develop our intuition and awaken our shaman within. Ayahuasca is said to be “The mother of all plant teachers”, profound healing can occur through the visionary powers of this sacred vine from the Amazon.

Participants will discover their plant spirit allies through shamanic journeying, and discover how to receive information from their plant allies. They will also learn to prepare “dreaming lucid brews” which purify the soul and put us in touch with our true being. The ‘dreaming brews’ prepare and make us more receptive to the spirit of the vine.

Art therapy will also be encouraged as part of the programme, as we express our visions and realisations through the creative medium of art, poetry, song, music and writing.

Ceremonies:

There will be 2 Ayahuasca ceremonies during the evenings and workshops with shamanic exercises during the day. There will also be time to relax and tune into nature in the beautiful wild surroundings of Durga Sanctuary.

Healing and cleansing will also be provided for all participants during ceremonies. Usually ceremonies start at sunset and will last for around 8 hours.

We will be working with 3 different types of vine, each with their own specific healing benefits. It will be discussed with the participants individually which vine they will be prescribed depending on their own individual needs.

‘Icaros’ – are the chants that will be sung during ceremony by the Ayahuascero’s, the chants direct the nature of the ceremony and visionary experience for the group.

We will also use shamanic indigenous music, Hindi chants and meditation music to guide us.

Spirit guides and celestial beings of light and love are also evoked during ceremony to assist in facilitating healing and guidance.

Shamans Diet:

We follow the shaman’s diet for a week before and whilst at Durga Sanctuary. The diet is essential preparation for the mind body and soul, and has been practised for thousands of years by plant spirit shamans and Ayahuasceros. The shamanic diet is also essential preparation for communion with the spirit of mother Ayahuasca.

Sexual abstinence is also required for 3 days before and after the retreat as part of the diet and as a form of cleansing.

Limpia - Floral Baths:

There will also be 2 Limpia: cleansing floral baths ceremonies which are an indigenous shamanic practice originating in Peru and South America, but used for thousands of years in many shamanic cultures. These floral baths contain flowers and herbs that cleanse the soul, give deeper knowledge of the self, free the soul of impurities and limitations, bestow spiritual gifts of healing and open ourselves spiritually to facilitate healing.

Ideology:

The retreats ideology is to follow indigenous shamanic practices as the main foundation, but we also see other traditions such as Buddhism and Hinduism as all paths leading to the same goal of spiritual enlightenment. Certain rituals will be using aspects of these traditions.

Developing the group dynamics and building a strong bond between the participants is at the heart of the retreat. Group visualisations and daily group sharing of our experiences are a vital part of the healing process and formulating a strong bond, as we are all one.

We are all one family of brothers and sisters, connected by he universal conciousness.

A loving, safe and supportive environment for journeying with Ayahuasca will be created by 2 experienced shamanic guides.
